Program Overview
Our Mission
The prep school basketball program at FYI Sports Academy is set up to promote improvement and achievement. This will be an opportunity for student-athletes looking to improve academically, athletically, and/or socially. For student-athletes in 7th through 12th grade looking for an alternative pathway, increased exposure opportunities, and opportunities to play in college, this could be a good fit for you. The program will run from August to May.
Our Offer
This basketball program will offer you the opportunity to improve your skills. Each team will have 12-15 roster spots and we will play a competitive 30-40 game regional schedule against prep schools, high schools and independent programs.
Our Expectation
Practice and training with FYI Sports will push you to your limits. The effort you give will be expected, not demanded. We will workout 3-4 days a week and on most days there will be 3 components: 1.Practice 2. Skill Development 3. Strength and Conditioning. Nutrition will also be a big part of your development; as you learn how to eat healthy, while training committed, your body will be able to achieve maximum performance.
Our Advice
Taking an alternative pathway to prepare yourself for college is a wise decision. It could be the difference in making sure you are prepared academically to be successful in the classroom. We can advise if you choose to take classes while in this program even though, being enrolled in class is not a requirement.

NCAA APPROVED!
Making Sure Students Stay NCAA Eligible
The following courses, organized by subject area, have been approved by the NCAA Eligibility Center for use towards initial eligibility when delivered by Connections Education, Connections Academy, or Pearson Virtual Schools teachers using the Pearson Online Classroom (formerly Connexus®) EMS platform. The approved content is the Connections Education version of the course.
Note that not all courses may be available at all locations, and there may be slight variations between your state’s course naming convention and the name of the course listed on the NCAA Eligibility Center High School Portal.
Academics
In 2023 FYI Sports Academy student athletes will register with Connections Academy and attend classes online.
